DialogShift is a winner at Google’s Business Messages Build-an-Agent Contest

DialogShift has been named a winner in the worldwide Build-an-Agent Contest, a competition by Google for innovative experiences using Google’s Business Messages.

DialogShift won the prestigious award for its Google’s Business Messages experience for Hotel Haffhus, combining the immediacy of cutting-edge AI (in 109 languages) with human empathy and a conversational design to boost engagement and direct bookings.

Chatbot Alex makes it easy for the hotel to manage high volumes of messaging by answering more than 100 questions about the hotel automatically. If necessary, he  hands over the conversation to the hotel team. He also engages prospective guests in Google Search and Google Maps in a conversation, communicates benefits and converts them into bookers. The award-winning Business Messages experience for Hotel Haffhus was honored as one of third prize winners in the worldwide contest.

DialogShift is part of Google’s partner program for Business Messages

As part of Google’s partner program, DialogShift helps hotels of all kinds to add Google’s Business Messages as one of their communication channels. This way, (prospective) guests can message the hotel from Google Search or Google Maps. Business Messages includes rich messaging features such as carousels, quick replies for guided dialogs and photos that expand conversations to drive bookings and upsell.

Being part of Google’s program for Business Messages enables DialogShift to learn and build with the technology, influence the roadmap, and offer their customers an upgraded messaging experience through Google Search and Maps.

DialogShift helps hotels to leverage AI and streamline guest communication

Leveraging Conversational AI hotels are able to automate up to 90% of guest queries and handle them faster and more efficiently. The huge advantage for guests: they can easily connect with the hotel at different touch points when and where they need to: Google, hotel website, guest app or social messaging. Hotels are able to streamline guest messages and manage their messaging inbox across multiple communication channels. Messages are routed intelligently and assigned to the respective teams. One advantage of Google Business Messages is that the traveller is notified via push notifications when the hotel representative responds.

Hotels using DialogShift’s industry-leading Guest Messaging Platform have seen results including up to 10x booking conversions versus traditional websites, 50% more efficient guest communication and happier employees. “This award from Google is a great recognition for our technology and the solution we created for the specific needs of hotels and their guests. Thanks to the DialogShift team and Hotel Haffhus for achieving this honor,” said Stefan Heuser, CTO of DialogShift.
